Carboxymethylcellulose Eye Drops provides soothing relief to dry eyes. It is used to reduce eye irritation and discomfort when exposed to dust, hot air, sunlight, etc. Carboxymethylcellulose is a unique, gentle, non-sensitizing preservative that helps with natural tears (sodium chloride + water) constituents. It provides temporary relief from irritation and discomfort caused by dry eyes.
Composition of the eye drop:
Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose IP 0.5% W/v
Stabilized Oxychloro Complex (As preservative) 0.005% w/v
Sterile aqueous vehicle q.s.

Indications:
For temporary relief from burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or due to exposure to wind or sun. Also, maybe used as a protection against further irritation.
Application of Carboxymethylcellulose eye drops:
Instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3 to 4 times a day depending on the severity or as directed by the physician.

Do not touch the nozzle tip or other dispensing tip to any surface as this may contaminate the solution. Replace cap after using. If you experience eye pain, changes in vision continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue the use and consult the physician. Use the solution within one month after opening the container. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. NOT FOR INJECTION.
Side Effects of eye drops:
When used Carboxymethylcellulose eye drops as directed, no significant side effects have been observed. Ocular irritation and allergic reactions (like Eye redness, Burning eyes, Stinging in the eyes, Allergic reaction in the eye) have been reported occasionally.
